All Star fun in Cleveland

One of the reasons we became season ticket holders was to be able to attend the fun stuff for the All Star Weekend.  We bought the strip of tickets and went to the softball game and the Home Run derby!  The enjoyment and energy in Cleveland was amazing that weekend!  We started the weekend at Play Ball Park!  We went ziplining, which was phenomenal, saw some great exhibits, and walked around seeing all the fun baseball stuff!  The only problem is it was so ridiculously hot that day!  We had to leave because of the heat.      Before the softball game we stopped downtown for dinner at Saigon.  We had never been there and they were not busy compared to the other places.  It was one of the best decisions we ever made for dinner.  The food and drinks were top-notch and the owner is a sweet man.      The celebrity softball game was a blast, even though Cleveland lost!     Before the Home ...

Its a dog's life!

So for years my hubby has bugged me about getting a dog, I finally broke down when we found this beautiful boy!  His name is Bello and he had a rough beginning.  We found him online, turns out the person we bought him from was a bad woman.  She told us Bello was Isabella, she told us he had all his shots but could not provide the papers, we met him and just knew we had to take him home. He was a mess when we got him!  But I want to share some of our fun times with Bello from the summer as part of the loving married life blog! he soon got comfortable with us He loves my hubby more than life! We taught him to walk on a leash! We bought a kiddie pool for him He is still a puppy baby! We can take him to fun places, like the Clifton Fest! His first swim in Lake Erie     He found his favorite toy...a Schtick!   He enjoys out time at Terrestrial Brewing where we can get great tacos, nachos and drinks and he gets to play with doggy f...

Awesome summer patio!

Looking for a quiet lunch on a beautiful patio in the heart of the city....Toast is the place!  We have always loved Toast it was the place of one of our first dates 5 years ago.  It never disappoints. refreshing sparkling summer cocktail!   Aren't we cute? the salad was an amazing kale salad with a fabulous fresh made dressing.  Everything at Toast is seasonal and fresh! I had a chicken sandwich with beautiful bacon on an amazing piece of bread! Ronnie had a simple but perfect burger with delicious pickles!   It is such a great space!  I recommend it to anyone looking for a fun fresh meal in a quiet setting.

Dinner in the Dark

ne of the things we enjoy doing is going to dinners where you get to try items from the chefs most creative sides!  Usually these are wine dinners, but finally I went to a Dinner in the Dark.  Basically they have several chefs each making a course.  You are not told what it will be until it is served.  Each chef comes out and talks about the dish.  There are wine pairings with each dish.  All of the proceeds go to charity and there is a raffle at each dinner as well.  It is such a great way to see creativity from some amazing chefs! The night started with a cocktail that was made with a Campari ice cube and as it melted the taste of the drink changed.  It was amazing!  I have never had anything like it. A lovely Salmon amuse bouche perfectly cooked shrimp dish Pork belly and watermelon cubes delightful asparagus hearty whitefish an unbelievable filet a delightfully playful dessert!   We would definitely do a...
