Pandemic Anniversary

My husband and I love spending time together doing some new things.  This year was our fifth wedding anniversary.  While everything had been cancelled in the spring summer...way back then we still thought there was a chance for our anniversary to bring about some needed fun and relaxation.  Anyone close with us knows that I have been working a ton throughout this pandemic due to being in a health care.  Come October I was so excited, our anniversary was on a weekend we were going to just have FUN!   As October got closer and closer we realized our dreams were not going to happen.  We decided about a week or so before our anniversary to just book a cabin in Chataqua New York.  We had enjoyed our time in Hocking Hills over the summer and figured give it a shot.  We searched for hours and days.  So many places were already full, specifically because of the half capacity.  Then we found it!  A great place where we would have ...

On to Roma

We checked out of our beautiful hotel and headed for the train station.  On the way we stopped for a cappuccino.  This is where we discovered our love for a cappuccino with a shot spilt between us of amaretto in the morning.  What a lovely way to start the day! A full day in Firenze

Waking up early in our beautiful room we head off to the Piazzelle di Michelangelo.  I had warned Ronnie it was a walk, but I am not sure he was prepared.  We did stop for an espresso before we started the steep walk up the hill.  The steps were shut down so it was up the winding road we went.  If you have never done this it is an amazing walk and well worth it for the even more amazing view. The Tex Mex restaurant I had to take a picture of as we walked to the Piazzelle I had been here before, but this was the first time for Ronnie.  He was just amazed.  And the pictures, they just speak for themselves.  There was also a church at the top with a cemetery .  It was gorgeous.   Walk up View of Firenze Basilica San Mianto Al Monte View of Firenze View of bridges in Firenze On top at the Piazzzelle Our next stop was Ponte Vecchio.  It is such a cool place to just walk around and shop and people watch.  It was here that Ronni...
