Our Favorite Date Night Plans

So being just the two of us we get date night a lot!  We go to Indians games, go out for happy hour, dinner, drinks, what have you.  but probably our favorite date night when it is still cold outside is bowling and dinner!  Our bowling place of choice is usually Mayhalls the dinner option changes frequently.    We usually bet something like who will pay for dinner afterwards.  We are close in score but Ronnie wins most of the time.  :-(  Its ok though, I do not mind paying for dinner because I always have my Cleveland Independent's gift certificates with me.  I picked Café Tandoor in Westlake.  I had been to Café Tandoor in Cleveland Heights more times than I can count when I lived on the East side but this was my first time at this one and Ronnies second time eating Indian Food .  We ordered my favorites...Saag Paneer, Cashew Chicken and garlic Naan.  They brought out these amazing onions that we could not stop eating....

VEGAS BABY!

In February we made a trip down to Vegas to visit his uncle and check out some cool sites etc.  We stayed just off the strip at Palace Station.  It was a great deal, they had a bus that took multiple trips to the strip each day, and the machines paid out better.  We had a great time visiting with his family and getting to see some awesome things.  First highlight of the trip- Battista's Hole in the wall Italian Restaurant.  usually I hate eating Italian out, but this was recommend by an Italian Friend from Youngstown who lives in Vegas.  It was really cute inside.  totally old school Italian American with a guy walking around playing the accordion.  The food was great, portions way to big.  All meals come with unlimited homemade wine, salad or soup, entrée and cappuccino.  You do need ot make reservations they fill up fast! I had swordfish with capers, olives, lemon over pasta.  Ronnie has the steak piazziolowith a side of pa...

Living out Faith

Another part of our life together is celebrating and living our faith as Catholics.  I realize this is probably not the most exciting post for people, but it is something that matters in our relationship and is part of loving our married life! Ronnie and I are both very active in the church.  He is the president of the Holy Name Society, I am Vice President of Church Council, Treasure of the Villa Mercedes Board and I sit on the Foundation board.  We both work our annual festival and give a lot of time to the church for the various activities.  These are just some of the events: Fr. Joseph installation as new Pastor.   Ronnie's Installation as President.  Our Church Festival.  The Annual Clam Bake and Reverse Raffle- I believe I have posted these pictures at other times.  We both love our church and it is true that as a married couple sharing in faith is important.  it helps to bring us closer together and to love each o...

Vines and Wines Chocolat enad Wine Trail

So we set out on a beautiful Saturday to experience the Wine and Chocolate trail in Northeastern Ohio.  I would recommend these events to anyone interested in a fun day out!  You could go to any of the wineries on the list- a total of 18 anytime on Friday or Saturday from noon to 6pm each day.  You got a free tasting and a free chocolate item at each place.  it is a great way to try some of the smaller wineries in Ohio.  For $50 for a couple we received a free box of Malley's Chocolate, wine glasses, and all of the tastings.  We hit 11 of the places on Saturday.  The ones we did not make were slightly further out.  We also could have fit in one more but were hungry for dinner and done with the wines for the day.  It was a lot of tastings!  One thing we did learn is that the wineries make no money from this event unless you purchase something from them directly.  All of the tastings are paid for out of their pocket.  Finding thi...
