We checked out of our beautiful hotel and headed for the train station. On the way we stopped for a cappuccino. This is where we discovered our love for a cappuccino with a shot spilt between us of amaretto in the morning. What a lovely way to start the day!
Once we arrived in Rome we took a taxi to the hotel. Again, a super cute boutique hotel.

After we checked in we started to walk around and found a museum right next to our place. It had something to do with money.
We then stopped for lunch on the street between our hotel and the Pantheon. The food was delicious. We started with artichoke bruschetta. I had a spinach pizza and Ronnie had pasta fagioli in a white sauce. It was delicious. They then brought us limoncello to finish the meal. Again another thing we found in Italy. They just bring Limoncello or another aperitif at the end of meal complimentary. The waiter was a little flirty, Ronnie and I found it amusing.
We then started to explore Roma!

We then walked over to the Trevi Fountain and the other pastime of ours in Italy, checking out churches and statues of San Antonio!

That night we went by the Pantheon on night and found a restaurant, Hosteria Pantheon, that became a go to for us for drinks etc at night. Many people say do not eat at restaurants by monuments, but this place had good food, good prices and they were great.

We ended the night and walked back to our hotel right down the street in this ancient land. The next morning we would be off to Vatican City.
